Blake was born in St. Louis and at the age of 15, cut his racing teeth competing in dirt go-kart races across the United States. When Blake started his racing career he quickly proved how talented he was by winning his third race ever in a go-kart. From there he went to end his first season with 11 victories and 5 pole starts, which included 3 National race pole starts and 3 National race victories.

Blake's second season was even more of a success from racing in 8 different states and accumulating 16 victories to being discovered by Mike Mittler, owner of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team, MB Motorsports, which has been in the sport since it's inaugural season in 1995.

After working with MB Motorsports, Mike Mittler teamed up with Kevin Crider, a successful Crew Chief in the Late Model racing series. Their goal was to give Blake the opportunity to make the transition into Stock Cars from go-karts so he could gain valuable seat time needed to continue his career in racing.

Blake continued to show that he had what it takes to make it in the sport by winning his third race ever in a racecar at I-44 Speedway. After finishing his first partial stock car season, Blake had accomplished a number of things, including winning  2 out of his first 5 races and also finishing 7th in his first 100 lap Pro Late Model race.

In the 2012 racing season, Blake continued to prove he has a god given talent behind the wheel of a racecar by capturing 2 victories and 2 top-3 finishes out of just 6 races in the partial Late Model schedule he ran. Currently Blake is trying to continue his success as he climbs through the ranks to eventually reach his goal of being one of the greatest drivers to ever compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
